About the Role
This is not your typical Medical Assistant position. At Georgia Endovascular, our MAs are true clinical partners — actively involved in procedures, patient education, and documentation alongside our physicians. You will work in a fast-paced, high-functioning environment where your contributions directly impact patient outcomes.
This position is based at our Cumberland Blvd location in Atlanta and requires occasional coverage at our Stockbridge and Tucker offices.
What You'll Do
Clinical Support & Patient Care
- Room patients, obtain and document vitals, and review medical histories
- Prepare sterile trays for vein and interventional procedures
- Assist physicians directly during clinical procedures
- Provide patient education and explain procedures, risks, and follow-up instructions
Clinical Documentation
- Accurately and thoroughly document patient visits and procedures in real time, including medical history, physical exam findings, physician orders, diagnoses, prescriptions, and patient education
- Identify errors or inconsistencies in medical documentation and alert the physician when charts are incomplete
- Collect, organize, and catalog data for physician quality reporting
Administrative & Operational Support
- Make and receive patient phone calls with professionalism and care
- Assist with procedure scheduling
- Maintain physical inventory of medical supplies and restock exam rooms as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of medical office experience
- Strong clinical documentation skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to provide occasional coverage at Stockbridge and Tucker locations
- A collaborative, positive attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification
- Experience with athenahealth EMR
- Background in interventional radiology, vascular, or procedural specialties
- Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken) —strongly preferred; bilingual candidates will be given priority consideration
