Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and attentive Server to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our winery/restaurant, delivering exceptional guest experiences through friendly service, efficient order handling, and expert beverage and food presentation. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our Commerce 7 POS system, ensuring timely delivery
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- Serve food and beverages professionally, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, adhering to safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including bussing tables, resetting dining spaces, and food handling practices in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving any concerns with professionalism
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or high-volume settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
- Culinary experience or food industry background is advantageous for understanding menu items and food handling procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
