At SunDay Solar, our Electrician oversees all aspects of electrical installation, ensuring seamless and timely integration of PV solar, AC electrical components, battery storage, and backup power systems.
Duties:
- Responsible for electrical installation of projects, including but not limited to, installation of inverters and battery back-up systems, configuration of system monitoring, and commissioning of completed jobs
- Ensure project compliance with relevant codes, standards and client requirements
- Proactively identifies, corrects, and reports workplace hazards to minimize risks to self and others.
- Review and approve electrical drawings
- Coordinate with external partners, including utility companies and AHJs, as needed
- Attend inspections
- Maintain project documentation
- Attend company meetings, communicate with teammates on project progress and coordinate installation schedules
Qualifications:
- Licensed journeyman electrician (required)
- 4+ years electrical experience
- Proficiency in National Electrical Code (NEC) and local interconnection standards
- In-depth knowledge of residential and commercial electrical systems, solar inverters, battery and electrical storage systems, and generator integration
- NABCEP, OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications strongly preferred
- Familiarity with CompanyCam, Monday and Google suite is a plus; the technical aptitude to quickly learn to use new technology is required.
- Demonstrated dedication to workplace safety, with a consistent track record of following established protocols and mitigating risk
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Able to work independently and efficiently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Requirements:
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces and in various weather conditions
- Comfortable working around electrical systems involving risk of electrical shock
- Must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds frequently, and occasionally lift heavier items with assistance
- Must have valid Virginia’s driver’s license and be insurable by commercial insurance

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
