- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas through regular cleaning and sanitizing
- Assist with meal preparation for various service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients in advance and managing inventory levels
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operation during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or food service environments
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Skilled in knife techniques, slicing methods, and recipe adherence to ensure consistent quality
- Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Experience with dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
