Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines and vehicles. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with diesel engines and vehicles
- Repair or replace faulty parts, such as fuel injectors, pistons, or valves
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems and make necessary repairs
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed to complete repairs
- Operate heavy equipment, such as forestry machinery, for repair purposes
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repair procedures
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, such as heavy machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Experience with HVAC systems is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license
