SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Parking Attendant Supervisor is responsible for facilitating a collaborative team to ensure a best-in-class parking experience for those who visit, work, or live in Downtown Salt Lake City. The position is responsible for training, supervision, scheduling, and auditing of Parking Attendant duties. The Parking Attendant Supervisor is also responsible for creating a positive work environment, collecting daily parking revenues, providing great customer service, identifying maintenance needs in all parking facilities, and resolving customer conflicts in a professional and appropriate manner.
POSITION SCHEDULE:
Tuesday-Saturday, 3pm-11:30pm
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for training, scheduling, supervising, and auditing Parking Attendant duties.
- Investigate and document Parking Attendant issues. Follow up with coaching and counseling. Recommend and assist managers with corrective actions if needed.
- Reconcile Attendant’s tickets and validations with revenue collected. Facilitate cash pickups with Loomis.
- Promote effective positive relationships with team members, downtown visitors, employees, and residents.
- Follow and enforce policy and procedures specific to each property.
- Greet customers and handle their inquiries and parking needs in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. Manage and resolve escalated client issues.
- Provide basic maintenance on golf carts, assigned fleet vehicles, and assure assigned equipment is working properly. With management approval, coordinate with vendors to complete more major repairs and maintenance.
- Assure cleanliness of the parking areas, office work areas and assigned fleet vehicles.
- Write citations, impound, and tow vehicles as needed. Move vehicles with car dolly when required.
- Facilitate event set up including preparing signs, barricades, cones, and gate configurations. Direct traffic for extended periods of time, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years supervisory experience
- Experience in customer service and conflict resolution
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Basic math skills
- Cash handling experience
- English fluency in writing and speaking
- Ability to work alone and with others
- Ability to remain productive with little or no direct oversight
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand/walk for extended periods, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Candidate must be able to provide a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
