Mechanic:
- Knowledge of diesel and gas engines
- Diagnostic testing on engines, interpreting the results
- Ability to read schematics
- Efficient and effective knowledge of service and repair procedures
- Effective collaboration, communication, and listening skills
- Preventative maintenance, including oil and other lubricant supplies for equipment
- Proper and safe handling of fuel and waste
- Ensure numerical, safety and company decals are affixed to each item
- Promotes safe practices and safety in the shop
- Uses and promotes use of personal protective equipment
- Field visits in the case of an emergency or breakdown
- Independent worker with critical thinking skills
- Order parts - utilizing cost efficient practices
- Notify customer and manager of any damages on rental return slips
- Tag equipment in for repairs
- Repaint equipment
- Start and ensure proper functionality of all equipment
- Safe and proper load securement
- Inspection of equipment
- Recommends to Manager: Safety, Environmental Issues, Equipment Replacement, Major Repairs
- Consistently wears clean and appropriate company attire
- Perform all other duties as required, assigned, or needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Welding and Computer skills are a plus
