Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Freight Broker to join our team! In this role, you will act as the vital link between shippers and carriers, coordinating freight movements, negotiating rates and bid packages, and ensuring seamless transportation logistics. Your energy and expertise will drive our freight operations forward, delivering exceptional service to our clients and partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors to facilitate efficient freight movement
- Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms to optimize profitability and customer satisfaction
- Coordinate transportation planning using transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software
- Manage freight brokerage operations including dispatching, data entry, and tracking shipments
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding shipment status, pricing, and delivery schedules
- Generate leads for new business opportunities through proactive sales management and inside sales strategies
Requirements
- Proven experience in freight brokerage, logistics sales, or transportation management systems (TMS)
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, shipping logistics, and transportation planning
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with customer relationship management expertise
- Team player mentality, LT2 is built on working together. Customer relationships belong to the team, not individuals.
- Ability to manage client relationships effectively through client communication and client relationship management skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in contracts, pricing strategies, dispatching, lead generation, and data management
