Job Summary

Duties
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating requests with accuracy and efficiency
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and reduce wait times
- Answer phone inquiries promptly, providing information about wait times, reservations, and restaurant policies using proper phone etiquette
- Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate effectively with guests regarding their table status
- Assist in managing restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to track seating and reservations
- Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health guidelines in guest areas
Skills
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a similar customer service role within a restaurant environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally over the phone and in person
- Knowledge of restaurant reservation management software and POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for managing reservations, guest counts, and billing procedures
- Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding guest relations and hospitality services
- Familiarity with food safety practices and restaurant operations to support overall guest experience
