Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Nurse specializing in Long Term Care to join our compassionate healthcare team. Duties
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in long-term care facilities, including memory care and assisted living environments
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to evaluate health status
- Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and medical documentation standards
- Manage IV infusions, catheter care, wound suturing, and aseptic techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy or dialysis
- Maintain comprehensive medical records using EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Athenahealth while ensuring compliance with privacy laws
- Respond promptly to acute pain episodes or emergency situations utilizing critical care procedures and airway management skills
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Registered Nurse in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities
- Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure is highly desirable
- Familiarity with diverse medical specialties such as cardiology, ophthalmology, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and geriatrics
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Cerner, eClinicalWorks) and ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate documentation
- Skilled in patient assessment techniques, medication administration, specimen collection/processing, and infection control practices
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations including NCQA standards and Workers' Compensation law is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges across various age groups including pediatric and neonatal patients

Pay: $37.00 - $45.00 per hour
