Seeking an Echo Tech to perform echocardiograph procedures and prepare study for interpretation by cardiologist. Will review data and confer with the appropriate medical personnel; review medical record to identify significant medical history.
Perform diagnostic studies to include 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler, color flow mapping, Stress, Transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms; record and maintain a daily log and files of studies performed.
- Help prepare records for interpretation, collection, and distribution of diagnostic data and reports.
- Ensure equipment is operational and available for procedures.
- Calibrate and adjust equipment for and during procedures.
- Clean and sterilize instruments, supplies and equipment, perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Explain exam, test and medical procedures and purpose of it.
- Position patients, restrain or support patients during procedures.
- Observe machine monitors, perform routine diagnostic test and record diagnostic test results.
- Interview patients and collect patient data, record and chart patient data.
- Read and/or interpret tracings and note findings, read and assess diagnostic test abnormalities.
Required:
- Minimum 2 years in echocardiography
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) Certificate from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
- MUST have pediatric and congenital experience to hit the ground running
