Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to address inquiries and assist with product selections
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management
- Conduct product demos and upsell additional items to enhance customer satisfaction and store revenue
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, merchandising products, and maintaining organized displays
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory counts
- Handle retail store operations such as cashiering, processing returns, and ensuring smooth checkout experiences
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors
- Support supervising staff during peak hours or busy periods to ensure efficient store operations
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems, cashiering, and retail sales transactions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Previous supervising experience is advantageous for team support roles
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and basic math for transactions
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations
- Previous experience working at The UPS Store or experience in grocery or retail environments is beneficial for understanding customer needs and store operations
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to foster positive interactions
- Capable of stocking shelves, organizing displays, and managing inventory efficiently
