Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic STEM Teacher to inspire and educate students in the exciting fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across science, mathematics, and technology disciplines.
- Incorporate educational technology and IT-integrated lessons to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and cultural backgrounds, ensuring inclusive classroom environments.
- Utilize laboratory equipment and facilitate dissection, microbiology experiments, biochemistry activities, and molecular biology projects to promote hands-on learning.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation and grading.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning atmosphere that encourages inquiry and collaboration.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and implementing best practices in science education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Science, Mathematics, or related fields; advanced degrees preferred.
- Proven experience teaching science or math at elementary and middle school ; private school experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of core STEM subjects including algebra, geometry, genetics, cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology, and scientific research methods.
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that aligns with educational standards and integrates learning technology effectively.
- Classroom management skills with the ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds and adapt to various learning styles.
- Experience working with elementary students and teenagers in both classroom settings and extracurricular mentoring roles.
- Familiarity with educational compliance regulations
- Excellent communication skills for effective instruction, collaboration with colleagues, mentoring students, and engaging parents or guardians.
- Laboratory experience including dissection techniques and research laboratory procedures is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education needs or Montessori methodologies is an advantage but not mandatory.
