Retail Trainer
Job Type: Part-Time with benefits
Pay Rate: $19/hr.

Location: Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Texas
JOB SUMMARY: Coordinate the successful placement of new hires and rehires from orientation to location training through effective communication with the Retail Management, Human Resources and the Team Member.
Responsibilities:

Promotes Guest First Standards, Total Safety Culture and Park / Departmental policies and procedures

Motivates and maintains employees. Follows disciplinary guidelines and administers corrective action when necessary at the discretion of management.

Communicates with Area Management and Managers / Director daily to ensure all staffing related issues are resolved quickly and appropriately.

Provides reporting to management to help maintain division certifications (and are kept up to date)

Provide weekly staffing reports to management

Completes random audits to ensure TABC and all other policies/procedures are being followed

Conducts initial Food Service Orientation

Understands and completes all required paperwork
- Ensures proper paperwork for all team members are maintained throughout the season

Creates, co-ordinates and reviews departmental employee surveys

Helps to establish and update departmental required staff numbers and communicates such to HR on a weekly basis

Facilitates various retail trainings

Acquires and maintains certifications as an instructor
Qualifications:
-
Requires excellent organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.

Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines in a demanding, fast paced environment

Ability to work a flexible schedule that including nights, holidays and weekends.

Must be detail oriented, highly motivated and a self starter

High School Diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Must be able to acquire and maintain TDH Sanitation and TABC certifications

Previous experience in Food Service, Merchandise, or Games a Plus

A strong sense of teamwork and a positive attitude
-
Willingness to cross train into other departments and work in such departments as needed during short staffing periods.
