Now Hiring: Full-Time Cook (Assisted Living / Group Home)
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Cook to join our team immediately. This is a full-time position serving an assisted living community, where quality meals and consistency matter.
Monday-Friday 7a-3p
Requirements:
- Minimum 1+ year experience preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner in an assisted living community or group home setting
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and safe food handling practices
- Ability to create, follow, and execute a structured menu
- Experience managing inventory and maintaining food supply levels
- Ability to work within a set budget while maintaining quality meals
- Knowledge of and compliance with New Mexico state regulations and standards
- Communicate regularly with the Manager regarding menu planning, inventory, and kitchen operations
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve daily meals according to menu and dietary needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
- Monitor and manage inventory, placing orders as needed
- Ensure all meals meet quality, safety, and nutritional standards
- Follow all NM State guidelines and kitchen regulations
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a background check
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Able to communicate in English
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Certification
