Position Summary
Under the general direction of the President or Co-President, the Director of Safety (HSEQ) leads health, safety, environment, and quality management systems in a regulated air medical environment to ensure operational safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee Safety and Quality Management Systems
- Develop, coordinate, and implement HSEQ policies and procedures
- Monitor compliance with federal and industry regulations
- Lead safety culture initiatives and manage direct and indirect reports
- Chair key safety committees and review boards
- Manage safety incentive and employee programs
- Conduct training and safety presentations
- Participate in accident investigations and reporting
- Represent the organization in industry forums
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of FAA Part 135 operations
- Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, ANSI, FAA, CAMTS, IS-BAO standards
- Experience in safety program management and supervisory roles
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Air Medical industry experience
- Experience with safety sensitive environments
Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
