Cen-Tex Spiral Pipe is a leading sheet metal fabrication shop specializing in high-quality ductwork and components for the HVAC industry. We pride ourselves on precision, quick turnaround times, and exceptional service for our mechanical contractors and field installers. We are looking for a reliable, tech-savvy Customer Service Representative to join our front office team and serve as the vital link between our clients and the shop floor.
Position Overview
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the face and voice of our company. You will handle incoming customer orders, inquiries, and quotes over the phone and via email. This role requires a strong mix of excellent phone communication, sharp computer skills, and a detail-oriented mindset to ensure orders are entered accurately for production.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Communication: Answer incoming phone calls and emails with a friendly, professional, and helpful demeanor. Build strong relationships with contractors and clients.
- Order Entry & Processing: Accurately input customer takeoffs, sketches, and order specifications into our shop management software.
- System Management: Utilize Trimble FabShop to input, track, and manage fabrication orders throughout the production lifecycle.
- Quote Generation: Assist in preparing accurate price quotes for standard and custom sheet metal fabrication requests.
- Coordination: Liaison between customers and the shop floor management to check order status, lead times, and delivery/pickup schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional Communication: Easy to talk to, clear, and confident on the phone. Ability to handle fast-paced contractor inquiries with patience and professionalism.
- Strong Computer Proficiency: Must be highly comfortable navigating multiple software programs, managing emails, and learning specialized data-entry systems.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to read order specifications accurately; a single misplaced dimension can alter an entire fabrication run.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Experience: Prior experience working in the HVAC, construction, or manufacturing industry is highly preferred. Understanding basic ductwork terminology is a major plus.
- Software Experience: Direct experience with Trimble FabShop (formerly Vulcan) is an asset, though we will train the right candidate who possesses strong technical aptitude.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
