Crowley Medical Associates is seeking a Medical Receptionist to become a part of our MDVIP Preventive Wellness team helping provide high-quality patient care and supporting our medical team with various administrative tasks to deliver comprehensive patient care.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Provide essential administrative support within the medical practice.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate care plans and ensure smooth operations within the clinic.
- Build lasting relationships through outstanding communication and customer service with patients.
- High level of professionalism, effectively communicating with patients and staff, using excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage multi-phone calls, answering calls promptly and directing them to appropriate staff members.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar efficiently.
- Secures patient or patient representative signatures on required forms including consent to treat, financial policy, patient rights and responsibilities, HIPAA notice of privacy practices, Provider Based Billing Acknowledgement, and Notice of Non-Coverage when appropriate.
- Notify clinical staff of patient arrivals and delays; communicates to patient likewise clinical delays and provider schedule updates as appropriate.
- Provides appropriate forms to patients for review and/or completion.
- Checking-in and checking-out patients, obtaining insurance cards along with patient or patient representative photo identification.
- Verify patient insurance information and collect copayments and past due balances
- Assist with medical record keeping with printing, scanning and uploading patient documentation.
- Assist with new patient intake information.
- Working closely with clinical team for efficient coordination of medical care
- Other administrative duties as assigned.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Customer Service: 3 years (Preferred)
- Computer Skills: 2 years (Preferred)
- Medical office: 2 years (Preferred)
