Job Summary
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, and supporting staff within a designated department or clinical area. This role involves overseeing workflows, managing resources, and fostering collaboration among interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The Clinical Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for clinical inquiries, process improvements, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Essential Functions

Coordinates daily clinical operations, including patient flow, resource allocation, and staff assignments, to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.

Supports clinical staff by providing guidance, addressing concerns, and assisting with complex patient care situations.

Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate care plans, ensuring alignment with patient needs and departmental goals.

Assists in onboarding and training new clinical staff, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.

Maintains accurate documentation related to patient care, clinical activities, and quality measures as required.

Serves as a liaison between clinical staff, physicians, patients, and families to facilitate communication and resolve concerns.

Ensures the availability and proper use of equipment, supplies, and resources needed for patient care.

Participates in emergency response planning and execution, supporting staff and patients during critical situations.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1-3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting required

1-2 years of prior experience in a coordination role preferred

Licenses and Certifications

RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required

BCLS - Basic Life Support required
