We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver with a Class A CDL and clean driving record. Loads are from port to customers (customers are located in LaPorte, Baytown and Pasadena), with the yard being in Pasadena. 98% of loads are drop and hook. Ideal candidate has port experience. Candidates MUST have a TWIC and 2 years tractor-trailer experience. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to manage routes effectively. This job is a 1099.
Duties
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and trailer to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while driving.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Preferred port experience
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
