Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of food items according to standardized recipes and menu specifications
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability
- Handle food with proper safety and sanitation procedures to maintain hygiene standards
- Cook and assemble meals efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food in a timely manner
- Serve food to guests or team members with professionalism and friendly service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or the food industry is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices
- Proven skills in food preparation, cooking, knife handling, and meal assembly
- Experience with menu planning and catering is a plus
- Excellent understanding of kitchen operations within restaurant or healthcare settings
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
