EcoClean is a full-service water damage restoration company serving homeowners throughout Chicagoland. We manage the entire restoration process, from emergency water mitigation and property-damage documentation through reconstruction and final completion.
We are creating a leadership position for an experienced insurance and property-claims professional who can take ownership of each customer's project and ensure every claim moves efficiently from beginning to end.
Position Overview
The Senior Property Claims & Restoration Operations Supervisor oversees residential property-damage projects from the initial customer consultation through mitigation, estimating, reconstruction, final billing, collections, and closeout. The role combines property-claims knowledge, claim documentation, estimating, office management, dispatching, and accounts receivable.
This is a position of ownership and accountability, reporting directly to ownership. You would have real authority to build the workflow rather than work inside someone else's. The right candidate can review an active claim, determine where it stands, identify what is delaying it, and take the steps necessary to move it forward.
Primary Responsibilities
Claims Management
- Oversee residential property-damage claims from intake through final completion
- Maintain complete, accurate claim files, including photographs, scopes, estimates, moisture documentation, work authorizations, and completion certificates
- Track inspections, approvals, supplements, payments, recoverable depreciation, and customer balances
- Identify stalled claims and resolve the documentation, scheduling, or payment issues delaying them
Customer and Carrier Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the restoration process
- Explain the mitigation, estimating, and reconstruction processes clearly and professionally
- Provide estimates, invoices, and supporting documentation to insurance representatives, and follow up on outstanding requests, estimate reviews, and payments
Dispatch and Production Coordination
- Dispatch estimators and schedule technicians, reconstruction crews, and subcontractors
- Prioritize assignments by urgency, customer need, location, and crew availability
- Coordinate the transition from emergency mitigation into reconstruction, and track material selections, approvals, ordering, and completion dates
Billing and Accounts Receivable
- Track invoices, insurance payments, customer payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances
- Follow up on unpaid invoices and assist with the recovery of receivables
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain records in Albi, Xactimate, and QuickBooks
Leadership
- Lead regular claim and production status meetings and provide direction to estimators, technicians, project managers, and office staff
- Identify weaknesses in current workflows and help build more efficient systems
Qualifications
- Residential property-claims experience, whether carrier-side, independent, or public adjusting
- Experience managing claims from initial inspection through settlement or completion
- Property-damage assessment, estimating, and claim documentation experience
- Insurance billing, collections, or revenue-cycle management experience
- Proficiency with Xactimate; experience with Albi or comparable restoration software preferred
- Strong QuickBooks and Microsoft Office skills
- A history of improving office procedures and workflows
Formal property-insurance education, an adjuster license, or IICRC certification is valued but not required.
The ideal candidate is organized, confident, persistent, and highly accountable, comfortable guiding homeowners through a stressful situation and equally comfortable following up with carriers, contractors, and internal team members.
