What You'll Do:
- Safely transport students to and from school and activities
- Train and mentor new school bus drivers, including behind-the-wheel instruction
- Reinforce safe driving practices, student management, and company policies
- Support new hires through the onboarding and training process
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, safety, and customer service
Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Teach classroom
- Behind the wheel training
- Participate in monthly safety meetings
- Conduct annual driver evaluations
- Follow up on discipline reports
- Maintain employee files for compliance
- Effective communication with co-workers, district staff, students, parents, and general public
- Ability to help out with routes on short notice
Qualifications:
- Must have a Class B CDL with School Bus and Passenger endorsements and 2 years of Safety Training experience.
- Detail oriented
- Computer Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Organized
- Ability to teach/coach employees
- Ability to multi-task
What We're Looking For:
- Valid CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Clean driving record and strong commitment to safety
Minimum of 2 years school bus driving experience required
- Training, coaching, or leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Patient, dependable, and team-oriented
Premium pay for 19A or SBDI trainer certification up to date
Compensation: $25-28 hourly
