Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing comprehensive bids, and collaborating with project teams to ensure competitive and profitable proposals. Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop detailed estimates.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare accurate cost proposals.
- Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and analyze material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather competitive pricing and negotiate terms.
- Perform cost control analysis throughout the project lifecycle to ensure budgets are maintained.
- Assist in bid preparation, including compiling bid packages and submitting proposals on time.
- Support project management teams by providing cost insights and assisting in contract negotiations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and site operations.
- Proficiency in estimating tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is highly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of construction management, contracts, and project management principles.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and terms with vendors and subcontractors.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents accurately.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail for precise quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
- Construction site experience is a plus, providing practical insight into on-the-ground realities that influence estimates. Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
