Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Full Time Journeyman Meat Cutter to join our team. This role involves expertly preparing, cutting, and packaging meat products to meet quality standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will bring culinary expertise, knife skills, and a strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure the delivery of fresh, safe, and appealing meat products. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our food production operations while maintaining high standards of food handling and customer service.
Duties
- Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to established specifications and safety standards
- Ensure all meat products are properly packaged for retail display or distribution
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and monitoring product freshness
- Support food preparation tasks as needed to meet daily operational demands
- Adhere strictly to food handling guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure product quality
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of customer service by providing knowledgeable assistance when required
Experience
- Proven experience as a meat cutter or in a similar food production role within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Strong knife skills and expertise in meat cutting techniques
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with food preparation, packaging, and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in customer service roles is a plus

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
