Job Description
- Represent clients in family law matters, providing thoughtful legal guidance from initial consultation through resolution.
- Manage a caseload involving matters such as divorce, custody, support, equitable distribution, and other domestic relations issues.
- Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, and case law relevant to active matters.
- Draft pleadings, motions, agreements, correspondence, discovery, and other legal documents.
- Prepare cases for hearings, conferences, mediation, negotiation, and litigation.
- Advocate for clients while pursuing practical and cost-effective resolutions.
- Communicate directly with clients to explain legal options, case strategy, developments, and next steps.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to keep matters organized, responsive, and moving forward.
- Maintain strong attention to deadlines, court requirements, documentation, and case details.
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Bar license in good standing.
- 1+ year of family law experience.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and client communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and priorities independently.
- Professional judgment, attention to detail, and a client-focused approach.
- Courtroom, hearing, mediation, or negotiation experience is a plus.
