Responsibilities/Job Description:
Fairview is seeking a Storekeeper to join our team at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This is a 0.4 FTE (32 hours per pay period), benefit-eligible position. The anticipated schedule is 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and candidates must be available to work every other weekend. This position is represented by SEIU Local 113.
The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities include receiving, stocking, and distributing medical supplies while maintaining accurate inventory levels and providing excellent service to hospital departments.
Meets customer service needs by receiving, stocking, counting, and distributing supplies and equipment to customer locations throughout the assigned facility. Accesses information and enters data on various computer systems used for managing supplies and equipment.
Responsibilities

Issues (dispenses) supplies to customers

Takes inventory of customer par-stock locations and/or exchange carts and initiates requisition for supplies needed to restock the locations. Initiates requisitions for supplies needed to restock the locations.

Delivers patient equipment in response to requests from customers.

Responds to customer requests in a timely and appropriate manner

Handles materials properly to prevent damage. Participates in scheduled physical inventories of the storeroom.

Perform data entry related to Stores & Distribution activities on the ordering system PeopleSoft.

Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner. Manages and organizes assigned duties. Understands the security requirements of medications and IV solutions.

Delivers and puts away supplies (both stock and non-stock) in customer locations according to established procedures.

Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.

Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or G.E.D, or 2 years experience as Storekeeper in lieu of high school diploma or G.E.D.
Preferred Qualifications

1 year experience

experience in receiving, storeroom, warehouse, or distribution of medical, surgical, or related supplies
Qualifications: $21.96- $26.28 Hourly
