Business Contact (BC) Manager – FedEx Contractor Delivery Operations
Company: DBLG Delivery Inc. Terminal Location: South Windsor, CT Delivery Areas: Southington, Berlin, East Berlin, and Cromwell, CT Salary: $210 - $250 per day
DBLG Delivery Inc. is growing, and we're adding an experienced operations leader to our existing management team. This Business Contact (BC) Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of package pickup and delivery services out of our South Windsor, CT terminal, working alongside our current management staff to support continued expansion.
The Manager will have a strong daily presence at the terminal, as well as build and maintain strong, positive working relationships with all FedEx Ground employees.
This is a 7-day operation. This is not a Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm position. It will require some long hours, days, and weekend work, but it will also offer flexibility with your schedule when circumstances allow.
MUST have previous transportation management experience to be considered for this position.
We prefer FedEx BC experience (prior FedEx contractor experience is a plus), but are willing to consider candidates with UPS, Amazon, DHL, or similar experience.

Manager Day-to-Day Operations
- Responsible for ensuring all daily P&D routes are staffed, trucks are operational, and the routes are generating sufficient revenue
- Responsible for recording and reporting timesheets for payroll
- Develop and maintain a relationship with a reputable and affordable vendor to perform maintenance and repairs
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repairs on equipment at regular intervals to avoid unnecessary breakdowns
- Responsible for training every new driver to ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations
- Responsible for ensuring drivers are compliant with daily duties regarding paperwork, Hours of Service compliance, and Pre-Trip/Post-Trip Inspections
- Creates a culture of safety and ensures each driver is up to date on all monthly safety training
- Coordinates with FedEx Ground staff to execute a plan that maximizes the profitability of the company
- Responsible for ensuring we are providing quality service to FedEx Ground with available drivers and operable equipment to pick up and deliver packages
- Works closely with the Fleet Manager to ensure the fleet is operating and maintenance is routinely performed on all trucks
- Responsible for performance management of all drivers assigned to the terminal
- Physically willing, ready, and able to drive a P-1000 sized vehicle and safely pick up and deliver packages to both residential and commercial recipients in the event of driver call-offs, driver shortages, heavy volume, or any other unforeseen circumstances (26’ straight truck a bonus)
- Excellent contingency planner
- Establishes relationships with part-time drivers as well as other FedEx contractors in the building to help one another out in times of need
Manager Requirements
- Must be able to pass a background/MVR check, drug test, and DOT physical
- Prior management experience and/or a college degree is a must
- One year of driving experience over the last 3 years, or five years of experience over the last ten years
- Clean motor vehicle record
- Must be over 21 with no felonies, violent misdemeanors, or drug-related misdemeanors in the last ten years
Pay: $210.00 - $250.00 per day
