TOOL & DIE TECHNICIAN – 3RD SHIFT
Build. Repair. Solve. Keep Production Moving.
If you take pride in precision work and enjoy solving mechanical problems, put your skills to work as a Tool & Die Technician. You’ll work hands-on with complex die casting and trim dies, keeping critical tooling in top condition so production can keep moving and customers receive quality parts.
What You’ll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and rebuilds on casting and trim dies.
- Tear down, refurbish, and rebuild dies to improve performance and reliability.
- Machine and modify components using lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Troubleshoot cooling line blockages, leaks, material defects, and other tooling issues.
- Install and maintain die cooling systems using blueprints and die specifications.
- Perform TIG welding and precision tool repairs.
- Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and sandblasting equipment to restore tooling.
- Document maintenance and repairs and work both in the toolroom and on the production floor.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of experience in a machine shop, manufacturing, or plumbing environment.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, or die casting preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and work with precision measurements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- A willingness to learn and pursue a Journeyman or Apprenticeship program.

The Work Environment
This is a hands-on manufacturing role in a hot production environment. The position requires standing, working with tools and machinery, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Safety is a priority, and proper PPE is required.
