Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload trucks using heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and crane systems.
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to accurately track inventory movements.
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, stacking, and organizing materials on pallets or shelves.
- Assist with order picking using <PERSON> pickers and other order fulfillment tools to ensure timely shipment processing.
- Manage shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area by following OSHA safety guidelines and best practices for warehouse safety.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate load & unload schedules and optimize workflow efficiency.
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, crane systems, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks safely.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards including OSHA regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation.
- Construction or materials handling experience is a plus, especially if it involves manual handling or heavy lifting tasks.
- Previous roles involving shipping & receiving, order picking, or load & unload operations will be advantageous.
- Experience with warehouse supervisor responsibilities or managing inventory processes is beneficial but not required.
