Staff Accountant
Candidate must have a good work ethic, strong organizational, time management and communication skills, be self-motivated, and computer literate. Must be comfortable working in a paperless environment, working with the public and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, be a CPA or actively working toward licensure, with 0-2 years of recent public accounting experience.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Assist in preparation of tax returns and other tax filings
Perform bookkeeping duties for assigned clients
Perform analytical and detailed work efficiently and accurately
Prepare and maintain financial data and records for assigned clients
Utilize and develop a functional understanding of various tax programs, tax and research software, and internal workflow/procedures
Exercise discretion and judgment when working with confidential client matters
Accurately report and release billable and non-billable time consistently
Meet productivity standards
Provide assistance, including tax research, to senior staff and partners as needed
Experience with Thomson Reuters applications, Quickbooks and SurePrep software is a plus
Available to work overtime during tax season
