Duties Responsibilities
- Ambulatory Surgery Center: Assess, instruct & prepare patients prior and post surgery
- Ensure that operative and informed consents are signed and correct
- Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical procedure
- Assess patients’ post-operative condition
- Monitor vital signs and other measurements of progress, meeting discharge criteria
- Log all findings in EMR system (EClinicalWorks Preferred)
- Answer patient questions and ensure patient comfort
- Monitor patients for condition changes, reporting any changes to physician
- Perform intervention duties in the event of post-operative emergencies
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN NYS License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Previous PACU experience or minimum of one year on the job training.
Work Schedule: 4 days per week- Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
This position includes Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays.
