Rising Stars Day School in Herndon, VA is hiring 1 Toddler Lead Teacher for our 2yo classroom. Monday - Friday 8:30 pm - 5:30 pm with 1 hour lunch.
The ideal candidate has a passion for working with children and will be energetic, compassionate, and responsible.
Our school provides a Reggio Emilia-inspired environment and values the child as central to their learning. Our open and free-flowing classrooms enable uninterrupted exploration, play, and learning, and our outdoor space and time are valued just as highly as formal classrooms.
Duties include:
- Preparing daily activities and crafts with materials present at the school
- Comfortable changing diapers and encouraging kids who are potty training
- Ability to foster a fun and safe classroom environment
- Ability to work with children and remain friendly, calm, and patient at all times
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to set rules and guidelines for children to follow
- Must pass a background check
- Must be fully available during the specified days and times
- Minimum 2 years experience as a classroom lead teacher
