Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Enrolled Agent to join our in-office tax resolution team.
This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, independently manage a busy caseload, communicate confidently with the IRS, and successfully guide clients through the tax resolution process from beginning to end.
CPAs and tax attorneys with significant IRS tax resolution experience are also encouraged to apply.
This is an in-person position. Remote and hybrid applicants will not be considered.
Responsibilities
- Represent taxpayers before the IRS.
- Manage tax resolution cases from initial review through final resolution.
- Review IRS transcripts and determine the most appropriate resolution strategy.
- Analyze client financial information and prepare Collection Information Statements (Forms 433-A, 433-B, and 433-F).
- Prepare and negotiate Offers in Compromise.
- Prepare and negotiate Installment Agreements and Partial Payment Installment Agreements.
- Prepare Currently Not Collectible requests.
- Prepare Penalty Abatement requests when appropriate.
- Communicate directly with IRS Revenue Officers, the Practitioner Priority Service (PPS), Automated Collection System (ACS), and other IRS departments.
- Respond to IRS notices and correspondence.
- Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely follow-up.
- Maintain accurate case notes and organized client files.
- Communicate professionally with clients and keep them informed throughout the resolution process.
- Collaborate with our administrative and client service teams to ensure an exceptional client experience.
- Successfully manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Active Enrolled Agent credential required.
- CPAs and tax attorneys with substantial IRS tax resolution experience are welcome to apply.
- Three or more years of direct IRS tax resolution experience required.
- Extensive experience representing taxpayers before the IRS.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating Offers in Compromise, Installment Agreements, Partial Payment Installment Agreements, Currently Not Collectible status, and Penalty Abatement requests.
- Strong understanding of IRS collections, compliance requirements, and tax resolution procedures.
- Experience preparing Collection Information Statements and analyzing client financial information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
- Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to outstanding client service.

Pay: $74,429.02 - $89,634.95 per year
