Inspire young minds and foster a love of language as an enthusiastic ELA educator supporting students across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact in the classroom, working closely with general education learners as well as students with IEPs in an inclusive setting. With support from paraprofessional staff when needed, you'll manage a manageable caseload of 15–20 students per class, allowing for meaningful engagement and differentiated instruction.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Certified in General Education (Emergency certifications considered for qualified applicants)
- Experience teaching English Language Arts (ELA) across a variety of grade levels is highly valued
- Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and best practices for inclusive classrooms
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Collaborative mindset, eager to work alongside fellow educators and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver dynamic and engaging ELA instruction to diverse groups throughout the day
- Adapt lesson plans and teaching techniques to meet the needs of both general and special education students
- Track student progress, provide feedback, and participate in team meetings to ensure student success
- Manage multiple classes/periods and collaborate with paraprofessionals to tailor support as needed
- Encourage a supportive, positive classroom environment that drives academic achievement
This position follows a friendly, structured school schedule: Monday–Thursday from 7:34 AM to 4:00 PM, and Fridays from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM.
