Job Title: Low Voltage Technician
Job Description:
We are seeking Audio-Visual Technicians. The AV Installer is responsible for assisting with the installation and setup of AV systems, including video conferencing, audio equipment, displays, and projectors. This technician will assist senior AV technicians with mounting, wiring, and testing AV components, ensuring proper system functionality in both commercial and residential environments. The AV Installer will follow safety protocols, adhere to AV system specifications, and provide support in diverse settings, including meetings, presentations, and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot video wall issue (VW1)
- Monitor 5 showing “Wired LAN cable disconnected”
- Image on display is misaligned
- Access rear of monitor to inspect wiring and connections
- Check and reseat Ethernet, HDMI, and STB connections
- Resolve issue if possible or report findings
- Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of AV systems and audio-visual equipment, including speakers, projectors, microphones, and displays.
- Familiarity with AV cabling, including HDMI, Cat5e, Cat6, and audio cables, and how to properly terminate and connect them for AV installations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow installation instructions and AV system specifications.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in AV system installation and audio-visual technology.
- Comfortable working in commercial, residential, and event environments.
- Ability to work on ladders and lift equipment as necessary during AV installations.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites.
- Basic troubleshooting skills to identify and solve minor AV system issues.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with senior technicians and assisting with the AV setup in various environments.
