Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) specializing in Long Term Care to join our healthcare team. Weekly Gross Pay: $1,920.00
Weekly Taxable Pay: $520.00
Non-taxable Weekly: $1,400.00
Minimum 2 Years' experience in LPN LONG TERM CARE:
Genie Healthcare is currently seeking experienced LPN LONG TERM CARE to fill an opening place located in Fairview, PA for $48.00/hr. (Taxed+ nontaxed)
Requirements of LPN LONG TERM CARE:
● Must have AHA BLS.
● Must have a valid state PA License or Compact license.
● Must have at least 2 years of experience as an LPN LONG TERM CARE

Responsibilities of LPN LONG TERM CARE:
- Shift: - 8 Hours Days
- 40 hours/week. (5*8)
- 15-week contract
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories, to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, including injections, IV infusions, catheterizations, and wound care, following established protocols.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition, managing acute pain and responding promptly to emergent health issues through triage procedures.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and long-term care regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, therapists, and caregivers—to coordinate comprehensive care plans tailored to residents’ needs.
- Provide specialized dementia and Alzheimer's care, memory support, and behavioral health management for residents with cognitive impairments.
- Educate residents and their families on health management strategies, medication use, and discharge planning to promote optimal outcomes.
- Adhere strictly to infection control standards and aseptic techniques during all patient interactions to ensure safety for both residents and staff.
Experience
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current state certification required.
- Prior experience working in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or skilled nursing facilities is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; experience with medical documentation and coding (ICD-9/10) is advantageous.
- Background in managing complex resident needs including dementia care, hospice support, or memory care is desirable.
- Experience with IV infusion therapy, catheterization procedures, wound management, and acute pain control enhances candidate suitability.
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations and compliance standards ensures adherence to industry best practices.
- Strong communication skills for effective caregiver communication and client interaction; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is beneficial.
