This role is anticipated to be 7-8 hours a week, supporting one of our contract locations.
Provider Responsibilities

Conduct clinic visits and see scheduled clients.

Order laboratory tests every 6 months to 1 year, or as required based on the patient’s medication regimen.

Complete medication consent forms for all new prescriptions and email them to the contracted site.

Update diagnosis forms:

Whenever a new diagnosis is added

At least every 6 months

Review and process medication refills in a timely manner based on clinical appropriateness.

Run cures
Scheduling

All scheduling and confirmation calls are handled by Mono County Behavioral Health.

If a patient arrives 10–15 minutes late, the appointment must be rescheduled.
Lab Orders

The provider is responsible for:

Completing lab orders
-
Sending them to the contracted email
TAR / Prior Authorizations (PA)

The NAMHS Medical Assistant is responsible for:

Completing TARs / PAs
-
Faxing all required documentation to the contracted site
Communication
-
All communication with the contracted site should be done via Microsoft Teams and using the contract email provided unless otherwise specified.

Ensure timely responses to messages regarding:

Patient care coordination
-
Lab orders
-
Medication concerns or updates
-
Active, unrestricted CA medical license.

Board-certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (or eligible/ equivalent).

Experience with diagnostic assessments and report writing required.

Familiarity with evaluating cognitive disorders, dementia, or capacity issues strongly preferred.

Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Strong communication and documentation skills.
