The Manual Machine Operator of King Machine fabricates and repairs tire mold components by operating a range of manual machining equipment, including lathes and mills. This role requires strict adherence to technical drawings and specifications to ensure product quality meets industry standards.
Requirements:
- Experience operating manual machining equipment (e.g. lathes, mills) in a mold repair or precision machining environment.
- Strong understanding of machining and manufacturing principles and quality control methods.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with precision measurement instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Basic understanding of mold components and tire identification process.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, 45001, OSHA, and other applicable regulatory standards.* In accordance with established Work Instructions, follow the guidelines for Vertical Drill and Damaged Hole Repair.
- Set up and operate manual machining equipment according to blueprints, specifications, and tooling instructions.
- Perform precision machining operations to repair tire molds.
- Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and dial indicators to ensure tolerances and dimensions
meet specifications.
- Inspect completed work.
- Complete In-Process Forms to maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance (PM) on the manual machining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to ISO 9001, 45001, OSHA, and other applicable regulatory standards.
- In accordance with established Quality Procedures, adhere to the guidelines for Control of Documents, Control of Production,
Monitoring & Measurement of Product, Corrective & Preventive Action, Risk Management, and Control of Nonconforming Product.
Preferred Skills
- Experience repairing, resurfacing, and re-machining tire molds.
- Skilled in using precision measurement devices.
