Our client a North Reading, MA based company in the industrial manufacturing and distribution space is looking for Warehouse Associate/Swing Driver on a direct hire basis for a Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30P schedule. This position would mostly be based on site in the warehouse but would also have Driver responsibilities when the permanent driver was not at work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliveries: Safely operate 22’ stake body trucks to make daily deliveries to job sites and supply houses in Boston and surrounding areas.
- Warehouse Operations: Pull and prep orders for shipment, load/unload trucks, receive inventory, and manage customer/vendor paperwork.
- Safety & Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, maintain a safe working environment, and handle materials using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Driver Requirements: Clean driving record and a valid DOT Medical Card (CDL is a plus).
- Experience: Prior experience driving in the Boston area and working in a similar warehouse/delivery environment.
- Union Requirement: Must be able to join the Local 25 Union.
- Soft Skills: Punctual, courteous, self-motivated team player capable of working efficiently with minimal supervision.
