Overview
We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Automotive General Manager to lead our dealership operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee sales strategies, manage a dynamic team, and ensure outstanding customer service. Your leadership will drive sales growth, optimize dealership performance, and foster strong client relationships to maintain our reputation as a trusted automotive authority.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire dealership sales team to achieve and surpass sales targets across passenger cars and high-end vehicles.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans focusing on business-to-business and business-to-consumer channels, including outbound sales initiatives like cold calling and outreach.
- Oversee inventory management, inventory control, and retail math to maximize profitability while maintaining optimal stock levels.
- Build and nurture customer relationships through excellent customer service, effective communication skills, and personalized client engagement.
- Utilize CRM software to track sales pipelines, manage customer data, support upselling efforts, and streamline deal closing processes.
- Conduct regular training sessions on sales negotiation techniques, phone etiquette, public speaking, and automotive financing options to enhance team performance.
- Coordinate marketing efforts to attract new clients and retain existing customers while ensuring compliance with dealership policies.
Qualifications
- Proven sales management experience within the automotive industry.
- Strong background in outside sales, business to business sales, deal closing, and achieving sales targets through strategic planning.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with outstanding communication abilities in multiple languages; bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Demonstrated success in customer relationship building and customer service excellence.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (technically supported), inventory management tools, and retail math fundamentals.
- Organizational skills with the ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple priorities such as inventory control and marketing initiatives.
- Experience in automotive financing options, auto industry sales experience, and dealership operations is highly desirable.
Pay: $250,000.00 - $500,000.00 per year
