We are seeking a dedicated Barista/Cashier to join our small team at Ctrl Alt Refresh. Our ideal candidate has a love for customer service and has the ability to prepare precise, high-quality beverages while maintaining a clean workspace and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a team player who can support other team members and uplift the business as a whole.
Responsibilities
- Accurately take food/drink orders through the POS system, reading back the customer’s order and providing proper change/receipt if needed
- Prepare drinks according to recipes, using accurate measurement tools such as a scale or a measuring cup/spoon
- Assist customers with menu selections, offering recommendations based on their preferences
- Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, informing manager of low items
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in food & drink preparation areas
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during work hours
- Maintain a comfortable environment and stepping in when disruptive, dangerous, or uncomfortable actions occur or seeking help from managers
- Assist manager with PC cafe registrations and ensuring client is aware of the rules/guidelines
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required
- Strong math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and measuring drink portions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- A passion for sales and providing outstanding customer service in a cafe setting
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Willing to obtain Food Handler Certification (training/program paid by company)

- Thursday 12-6pm
Weekend Shifts
- Friday 12-6pm
- Saturday 12-6pm
- Sunday 12-4pm
Pay: $15.00 per hour
