JOB Provides individualized instruction in a multi-level classroom, assisting students in improving reading, writing, and math skills with a focus on transitioning to the English language. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Provides individualized instruction to assist students in improving reading, writing, and math skills
Retains students and enables them to show academic progress
Builds and promotes all College Readiness classes
Compiles, administers, and grades examinations
Maintain and submit accurate paperwork to include, but not limited to, class rosters, students’ close-outs, students’ assessments, and registrations
Counsel and advise students on their progress, placement, and academic goals
Encourage and motivate reluctant learners
Use a variety of teaching strategies to engage all learning styles
Attends training, workshops, and meetings as scheduled
Participates in staff development and professional advancement
Participates in all personnel meetings and requirements of personnel and faculty, as required by the college
