Job Summary
HK Security Services (PILB #2854) is looking for a Security Operations Supervisor in Las Vegas, NV.
In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll be responsible for the field, often with minimal supervision, and will be tasked with keeping coverage solid, officers performing, incidents handled, and clients satisfied.
Responsibilities
- Be the single point of contact for all field officers, client sites, and the answering service during your coverage window.
- Fill open posts; handle call-offs and coverage gaps in real time.
- Monitor officer clock-ins at shift start and follow up immediately on anyone who’s late or absent.
- Drive to client sites to deliver equipment, support officers, verify compliance, and respond to incidents.
- Conduct site checks and verify that post orders and patrol procedures are being followed.
- Coordinate with property contacts and officers to resolve operational issues.
- Train newly assigned officers on-site: post orders, patrol routes, scan locations, and reporting requirements.
- Coach officers by phone throughout your shift to correct deficiencies and reinforce standards.
- Evaluate officer readiness and pass your observations to the Operations Manager.
- Track patrol activity, scan completion, and report submission in real time.
- Document compliance gaps and prepare written summaries for the Operations Manager.
- Escalate patterns of non-compliance promptly.
- Serve as the first escalation point for anything that happens on your shift.
- Write detailed incident reports and review officer-submitted reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Follow through on open reports until every required detail is captured.
- Review and verify officer timesheets at shift close.
- Manage equipment issuance, returns, and inventory; set up and troubleshoot devices.
- Submit shift-end operational reports to the Operations Manager.
Schedule
- This position covers the hours when the rest of the team isn’t, including weekend days and overnight shifts.
- You’ll need reliable transportation. Travel to client sites throughout your shift is a regular part of the job, not the exception.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in security operations; supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with TrackTik and ConnectTeam is a plus.
- Strong written skills – you can write a clear, accurate incident report without it being a production.
- Effective communicator by phone – you can give direction, train, and de-escalate without being in the room.
- Sound judgment – you know when to handle an issue yourself and when to escalate.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Nevada driver’s license.
- Comfortable working overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods as required by assigned post.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Valid Nevada PILB Security Card required.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
