Glenwood, Inc. has an exciting opportunity to work as a Job Coach in our Employment and Community First department. This position will work directly with Working-age or older adults (ages 22+) assisting individuals with intellectual disabilities to learn and effectively carry out job responsibilities. Glenwood provides treatment and education services in a least restrictive setting, through a continuum of care, with the highest respect for individuals and families served.
Trains clients in safety procedures for their specific job site.
Remains on site with clients and handles minor work / client / employer problems.
Relays all problems to Employment and Community First Coordinator.
Maintains client performance records, updates time studies and wages per Department of Labor regulations and completes reports as needed.
Provides transportation to and from work, as necessary, and / or coordinates with clients family, residential provider, coworkers, or public transportation to provide transportation.
Ensures completion of tasks by clients by obtaining relief or completing job themselves when client is unable to perform task or is absent.
Completes necessary documentation requirements for services rendered in their capacity as a job coach.
Maintains car insurance on personal vehicle per Glenwood policy for transporting clients to interviews, work sites or shopping for job related items.
Ensures client's needs, i.e., food, adequate clothing and emotional support are met on job site.
