Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Assembly Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of truck body components and systems — including dump bodies, trailers, water truck bodies, roll-off systems, and related equipment. You will work from work orders, blueprints, and build specifications to assemble parts, sub-assemblies, and finished products to quality standards. This is a physical, detail-oriented role in a busy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Production
- Assemble truck body components, hardware, and sub-assemblies per work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
- Position, align, and secure components using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment.
- Install structural components such as mounting brackets, hinges, latches, tailgates, and related hardware.
- Assist in the installation and fit-up of subframe components, crossmembers, and support structures.
- Verify dimensions and specifications of completed assemblies using measuring tools.
Quality & Safety
- Inspect completed work for proper fit, finish, and function prior to forwarding to the next production stage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
- Follow all shop safety protocols and use PPE as required.
- Report defects, material shortages, or production issues to the supervisor promptly.
Documentation
- Accurately complete work orders and production records.
- Track parts usage and note any discrepancies.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational or technical training in manufacturing or mechanical trades is a plus.
Experience
1–3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a related trade preferred. Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude will be considered.
Tools
Must have your own basic hand tools.
Tech Skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and assembly drawings. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment.
Aptitude
Basic mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
Physical
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in various positions including bending, kneeling, and reaching.
License
Valid Driver's License Required.

Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
