Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our farm team. As a Shift Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail farm store/ ice cream stand and providing exceptional customer service. This is a leadership position that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to effectively manage a team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily store operations during assigned shifts
- Lead and motivate a team of sales associates
- Ensure excellent customer service by assisting customers and resolving any issues or concerns
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the stock team to ensure adequate stock levels
- Implement marketing strategies to drive sales and increase store revenue
- Train new employees on store policies, procedures, and product knowledge
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Assist with store opening and closing procedures
Skills:
- Strong sales skills with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Organizational skills to effectively manage store operations and prioritize tasks
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Ability to sell products effectively and provide product recommendations to customers
- Experience in store management or leadership roles preferred
- Proven leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and inspire a team
- Experience in recruiting, training, and developing employees
