We are seeking a skilled, professional, and reliable Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to join our clinical team on an on-call, per-diem basis. This opportunity is ideal for a practitioner looking to supplement their existing schedule, build clinical experience in an urban setting, or maintain flexibility.
How It Works (On-Call / Patient-Driven Scheduling)
- Patient-Driven Scheduling: Shifts and hours are directly tied to patient bookings. When a patient schedules a session, we coordinate with you based on your predefined availability.
- Structured Availability Blocks: We work with you to establish dedicated 3-to-4-hour availability windows (e.g., morning, afternoon, or evening shifts) so you can organize your week efficiently.
- Late-Cancellation Protections: We respect your time and travel. We maintain a patient late-cancellation policy and guarantee a base fee if a patient cancels within 24 hours of their scheduled session.
Responsibilities
- Provide custom 60-minute or 90-minute therapeutic massage sessions (such as Deep Tissue, Swedish, Myofascial Release, or Trigger Point Therapy) based on patient intake and clinical goals.
- Maintain a clean, calm, and hygienic treatment environment.
- Complete timely, accurate clinical charting/notes in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system following each treatment.
- Maintain effective communication with our front desk and interdisciplinary clinical team regarding scheduling and patient care plans.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensure: Active New York State Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) license (Required).
- Experience: 1–3+ years of clinical or spa bodywork experience preferred (enthusiastic early-career LMTs are welcome to apply!).
- Insurance: Active Professional Liability / Malpractice Insurance.
- Skills: Excellent hands-on technique, reliable responsiveness regarding shift bookings, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
