Job Overview
We are looking for passionate and caring candidates to join our early childhood education team as an Infant Toddler Teacher. In this dynamic role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers. Your energetic and positive approach will help foster early childhood development, ensuring each child's needs are met with compassion and professionalism. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early childhood education while making a meaningful difference in young children’s lives.
We are looking for full time and part time positions to be filled. One of our part time positions would be a couple hours in the afternoons for closing.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote developmental milestones for infants and toddlers
- Support child supervision by engaging with children during play, meal times, naps, and diaper changes to ensure safety and well-being
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships
- Support classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and social skills among children
- Follow all safety protocols including pediatric first aid, CPR, and mandated reporting laws to ensure a secure environment for every child
- Assist with daily documentation of children's developmental progress and classroom routines
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid is required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education settings is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement techniques
- Familiarity with child supervision standards, classroom management strategies, and behavior management techniques
- Passion for nurturing young children’s growth and development through engaging activities and attentive care
