Duties
- Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping to meet each pet’s specific needs and owner preferences
- Handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments with care, patience, and confidence, utilizing animal restraint techniques when necessary
- Assess each pet’s health condition and communicate any concerns or abnormalities to the team or pet owners promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained
- Assist with pet handling during check-in and check-out processes, providing excellent customer service to pet owners
- Support additional animal care tasks such as basic veterinary assistance or dog training sessions as needed
- Engage with pet owners to discuss grooming preferences, provide advice on pet care, and foster lasting relationships
Skills
- Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of dog handling techniques
- Must have minimum of 2 years experience in grooming
- Skilled in animal handling across various breeds and temperaments, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Familiarity with dog training methods to assist in behavioral management during grooming sessions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple appointments efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene

This position offers a very handsome commission structure. You will be at 50/50 commission from the day you start. We have very flexible hours and we do require weekends!
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
